Former editor of Oni Ari Yarwood, now editor of Silver Sprocket
Silver Sprocket announced that Ari Yarwood will join as the publisher’s first editor. Yarwood has been working with Silver Sprocket since January 2021 and Silver Sprocket says that while she will continue to be available for freelance work, both parties are committed to building a lasting creative partnership. Former editor of Portland comic book publisher Oni Press, Ari Yarwood was responsible for the acquisition and development of several of their blockbuster titles, including the 2018 Eisner Award winner. The Tea Dragon Society by Kay O’Neill, who now gets her sequel. She also founded and managed the Limerence Press imprint, which publishes comics exploring gender and sexuality for a wide variety of audiences. Yarwood developed the Fast and easy Non-fictional comic book series for the Footprint, which guides readers through the accessible explanation of concepts such as pronouns, queer and trans identities, and consent, now getting a compilation in the latest solicitations. She is currently a freelance writer, working with freelance editors and creators on a variety of projects.

Silver Sprocket describes itself as an independent publisher, art team, gallery, and comic book store, releasing some of the best talent in comics including Ben Passmore, Benji Nate, and Jenn woodall.
