Netflix’s ‘Lucifer’, ‘Army of the Dead’ tops Nielsen streaming charts
Netflix took the top three spots in Nielsen’s streaming charts for the week ending May 30, leading with its Original. Lucifer. The series racked up 1,284 million minutes of streaming time thanks to the release of Season 5B on May 28. Season 6 will be the last installment of the series.
The Kominsky method slipped to second place with just 495 million minutes of streaming, followed by Jurassic World Camp Cretaceous. Hulu made the list with The Handmaid’s Tale in fourth place, falling from its No.1 spot the week before.
A crowd favorite, Grey’s Anatomy was catapulted to the top of the Acquired category with viewers streaming 633 million minutes of Meredith Grey’s medical residency drama. Criminal minds was just behind, followed by Start and Cocomelon which has remained a favorite entertainment choice for children throughout the pandemic.
The Netflix Zombie Heist Movie Army of the dead maintained itself as the most-released movie this week at 786 million minutes compared to 900+ last week. Home, an old Dreamworks animated film with a star voice cast made # 2 and the new version of the streaming service Blue miracle landed in third place. The film stars Dennis Quaid as a tutor who participates in a fishing competition to save his cash-strapped orphanage.
