American Crime Story season 3 tackles Clinton’s impeachment
American Crime Story is back for a third season, but this time the true crime anthology series will examine President Bill Clinton’s controversial impeachment trial.
The first trailer for Season 3 has dropped and it’s already putting us on the edge of our seats. Set in 1995, the trailer teases a young Monica Lewinsky (played by Beanie Feldstein) as she walks through the White House with a stack of files (which is actually just a cover for the boxed tie that ‘she hid). As she approaches the Oval Office, the secretary informs President Bill Clinton of her arrival. The doors open and we then see the President turn slowly in his chair, but not enough for us to grasp the transformation of Clive Owen into President Clinton.
FX announced the series on Twitter in June, titling it: Impeachment: American Crime Story.
“#ACSImpeachment resolves the national crisis that swept away Paula Jones, Monica Lewinsky and Linda Tripp as the main characters in the country’s first impeachment proceeding in over a century,” the tweet read.
