Hull’s Old Town transforms into Victorian London before Netflix crews arrive to film Enola Holmes 2.
The Netflix show is loosely based on a series of young adult fiction novels based on Sherlock Holmes by American author Nancy Springer.
The books follow 14-year-old Enola Holmes, the younger sister of an already famous Sherlock Holmes, on her detective adventures.
Matchsticks Productions said filming will take place in Hull on Tuesday October 5 and Wednesday October 6.
High Street, Scale Lane, Bishops Lane and Chapel Lane will be closed to traffic, but pedestrians will still be able to cross when cameras are not working.
Hull once again proved to be the ideal location for filming period drama series.
Earlier this month, ITV Studios filmed the northern part of the High Street for the upcoming Georgian-era thriller The Confessions of Frannie Langton.
Parts of the High Street have also turned into the glamorous Mayfair of Georgian London.
The original Enola Holmes The film was released last year and starred Stranger Things’ Millie Bobbie Brown as the main character and Henry Cavill as Enola’s brother, Sherlock Holmes.
The show reached over 76 million views in four weeks, making it one of Netflix’s most successful films of all time.
While other casting details have yet to be announced, it is already confirmed that both actors will reprise their roles.
