Teammate Anthony Walker Jr. was impressed with Phillips’ performance as he returned to training on Monday.
Walker said:
âA true professional. You’re talking about someone who since he came out has come up with the idea that I’m going to help the team in any way I can while re-educating myself and trying to come back as quickly as possible to help the team. team. He’s been a great voice for us on the sidelines, helping us out when we finish training, watching a movie, just like that. He’s been there with us every step of the way⦠To find him on the ground, obviously, it was great to see # 50 flying around. The first two exercises we did, I said to him, ‘Dude, you look explosive.’ Just confident, confident in himself, so I’m so glad to see him again. It’s definitely a boost for our linebacker room.
Phillips has been nominated to return, but the Browns have 21 days to activate him.
It is not yet known whether he will be activated before the Ravens game on Sunday.
Phillips is so grateful to be back in training a month ahead of schedule.

Coach Stefanski on Phillips return
Stefanski was monitoring Phillips’ practices before making the decision to activate him.
He was delighted to find him.
Stefanski said:
“Really excited that Jacob is back in uniform and in training,” Browns coach Kevin Stefanski told Zoom. âI think it’s a long way to go when you first get injured and hang out in that training hall. But just to see him there, I know it’s just a great reflection of how hard he’s worked⦠Now, in terms of when he’s back and when he’s ready, we’re going to work on it. I just wanted to see him at his first practice, watch the tape, see how he was doing. But we will be making those decisions over the next few days.
