Eater Vegas is looking for a new publisher. Is it you?

Eater is seeking an experienced reporter and editor to oversee Eater Las Vegas, one of its flagship publications. The person in this role will have a strong sense of Vegas culture and the communities that weave its unique fabric; they have the ability to pull back the curtain on the intricacies, quirks and complexities of restaurants and bars both on and off the Strip. They’ll be eager to get out there, telling the stories of the people who make Vegas’ food scene interesting and unforgettable. The publisher will also care about new businesses and those that have demonstrated longevity and resilience over decades.
Here’s what you’ll do: Editor Eater Las Vegas guides the site’s daily coverage and overall sensibility, including its mix of news, service-focused maps and guides, and features. They are responsible for audience growth and engagement, as well as demonstrating impact and relevance in the community. Stories don’t all have to focus on one area or topic: the editor should have the range to cover the bar and hospitality industries, COVID policy changes, as well as stories about social issues and of work. The role also includes assigning, editing and packaging freelance pieces; appropriate highly tactile service cards like the Eater 38; and planning/strategizing for social media and the Eater Vegas newsletter
