The winners of World prices 2022 were revealed today (Thursday, April 14, 2022), with Ed Sheeran collect THREE rewards.

Now in its fifth year, The Global Awards brings together the radio stations of Global; Capital, Heart, Smooth, Classic FM, Radio X, Capital XTRA, Capital Dance and Gold, as well as Global Player, to honor the biggest stars in music, podcasting and entertainment.

With his fourth solo album, =released in 2021 to critical acclaim, Ed Sheeran won big at the 2022 Global Awards, being named Best Male and Best British Artist, with Bad habits revealed as the Most Played Song in Global radio stations in 2021.

Victories are also celebrated Sam Fender who won Best indie and cold game who were honored with Best group price.

justin bieber had been named Best pop, Diploma was crowned Best Dance Number and Elton John was celebrated in the mass appeal Category.

Mimi Webb had been named rising starfollowing in the footsteps of previous winners Joel Corry, Mabel, Aitch and Halsey, in recognition of his breakthrough success.

John Williams was awarded Best Classical Artist while Vogue Williams and by Joanne McNally at the top of the list My therapist has ghosted me has been appointed Best podcast.

american artist Lil Nas Xincluding the first album, Monterowhich arrived last September and recently teased new music on Twitter, received a special award for creativity.

Commenting on his triple win at the Global Award, Ed Sheeran mentioned: “Thank you so much for my Best Man award, it’s really cool, thank you Global for all the support, thank you Ashley, it’s been a long journey and thank you from day one for being so supportive. And then also Best British Act, I’m very honored to be part of the UK music industry, it’s a very incredible landscape to be a part of right now, and has been for ten years, but it’s very, very exciting right now. Lots of new and upcoming acts that are also very exciting And the most played for “Bad Habits” thanks to my radio team and Global for breaking it and listeners at home who didn’t care no complaints yet!”
